Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: August 8, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern all services provided by Piano Movers Austin TX, LLC ("Company," "we," "us") to the customer ("Client," "you"). By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth below. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must refrain from using our services.
1. Services Provided
The Company agrees to provide professional piano moving, transportation, and related logistical services as explicitly agreed upon in the written estimate or service order provided to the Client. Services include, but are not limited to, the safe disconnection of piano components (where applicable), padding, loading, transport, unloading, and placement of the piano at the designated destination. Any additional services, such as tuning, storage, or disposal, must be expressly requested in writing and will be subject to separate fees.
- All moves are performed by trained personnel using specialized equipment.
- Client must disclose the exact model, size, and condition of the piano at the time of booking.
- Accessibility of both pickup and delivery locations must be confirmed prior to the move date. Stairs, narrow hallways, or lack of elevator access may incur additional charges.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if the piano or location poses an unreasonable safety risk to our crew or property.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at the time of service completion unless otherwise specified in a written contract. We accept cash, major credit cards, and certified checks. A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a booking date, which will be applied toward the total cost of the move.
- Final pricing is based on the information provided by the Client at the time of the estimate. If the piano or access conditions differ materially from the description provided, the Company reserves the right to adjust the final invoice accordingly.
- Travel time to and from the job site is included in the quoted rate. Additional waiting time exceeding 30 minutes at either location will be billed at a rate of $50.00 per hour.
- Any outstanding balances not paid on the due date are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less.
- If the Client cancels a confirmed booking less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time, a cancellation fee of 25% of the estimated total will be charged.
3. Liability Limitations
Piano Movers Austin TX, LLC maintains comprehensive liability insurance for property damage. However, our liability is strictly limited to physical damage caused by our negligence during the move. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the lesser of (a) the actual repair cost or replacement value of the piano, or (b) $50,000.00 per move.
- Pre-Existing Damage: The Client acknowledges that the piano is in good condition at the time of pickup unless noted otherwise. The Company is not liable for pre-existing scratches, dents, structural weaknesses, or internal mechanical defects.
- High-Value Declaration: If the piano's replacement value exceeds $25,000.00, the Client must declare this value in writing prior to the move. Failure to do so limits our liability to $25,000.00.
- Exclusions: We are not liable for damage caused by (i) acts of God, (ii) improper packing by the Client, (iii) moving a piano through an unsafe or structurally inadequate location, or (iv) any damage to floors, walls, or door frames that occurs due to the Client's failure to clear the path or provide adequate access.
- Consequential Damages: In no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of income, or emotional distress.
- Claims Procedure: Any claim for damage must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report damage within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the piano in good condition.
4. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Travis County, Texas. The Client consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waives any objection to venue.
- If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
- This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements, whether oral or written.
- No waiver of any breach shall be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach.
